What is the difference between relative accuracy and positional accuracy?
Relative accuracy - the locations of all of the elements in a group are accurate relative to each other. Positional accuracy - the locations of all of the elements in a group are accurate relative to their position on a datum (i.e. the earth's surface). Performed after the transformations have occurred on groups that have acceptable relative accuracy to relate them to a common frame of reference (again, the earth's surface).
