The east line of T40S-R32E has two township lines. The State/TIIF surveyed the west line of T40S-R33E in the 1920s, and the GLO dependently resurveyed the east line of T40S-R32E in the 1930s (see page 3 of 7 of T40R32-BLM.pdf). There is an approximately 100' gap between the two lines - so which agency has title to that gap? The GLO dismissed any State corners it found during its resurvey and completely reestablished their lines per their instructions while the State worked off of FC Elliot's 'pseudo-GLO' instructions... Harney Pond Canal surveyors look out!
